About CuveeThe Cuvée team bring a diverse array of experiences to the table.
Len and Stephanie White first began formulating the concept for Cuvée
in 1995, when they began to reside in Fredericksburg, a destination
town noted for its mix of upscale sophistication mixed with rural ease.
The Whites identified a strong local appreciation for quality wine and
food, and in 1999 they began fine-tuning the business plan for Cuvée.
In late 2002, the Whites partnered with Lisa Carney to bring
the Cuvée vision to life.

Len White len@cuveewine.net Cuvée’s Sommelier and owner has an agenda: to break down the myths around wine. His 14 years in the wine business, along with management experience in fine dining and corporate restaurants, give him a strong basis for achieving that goal at Cuvée. White’s intuitive wine talent led him to become a classically trained wine steward. His first wine list was given an Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator, and he was invited to take the Sommelier exam in 1994. White spent four years teaching wine tasting and appreciation at the University of Texas, spent some time working in distributorships, then returned to his passion of wine education and retailing. White brings his knowledge and passion for wine to Cuvée with an accessible and enthusiastic manner that he characterizes as “wine geek.”
