Cuvée’s Sommelier and owner has an agenda: to break down the myths around wine. His 14 years in the wine business, along with management experience in fine dining and corporate restaurants, give him a strong basis for achieving that goal at Cuvée. White’s intuitive wine talent led him to become a classically trained wine steward. His first wine list was given an Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator, and he was invited to take the Sommelier exam in 1994. White spent four years teaching wine tasting and appreciation at the University of Texas, spent some time working in distributorships, then returned to his passion of wine education and retailing. White brings his knowledge and passion for wine to Cuvée with an accessible and enthusiastic manner that he characterizes as “wine geek.”

Stephanie White

As Cuvée’s Market Maven and owner, Stephanie White leverages an unwavering eye for style and quality in every aspect of the Cuvée businesses. She is responsible for Cuvée’s distinct style and décor, which combine to create an environment that is simultaneously upscale and comfortable. The Cuvée Market will provide an expanding product selection based on Stephanie’s sense of the needs of the demanding home chef. Her accurate book-keeping skills are also essential to the success of the enterprise. A native of Vermont, Stephanie is well-adapted to Texas as long as she gets to see snow once a year.

Lisa Carney

Lisa Carney lends her 15 years of business and legal experience in Silicon Valley to the Cuvée mix. In 1995 Lisa headed an internationally recognized Internet design company in San Francisco, which was acquired in 1999 by a New York-based special effects company. She then co-founded a humanitarian project in West Africa with the renowned Senegalese singer, Youssou N’Dour. Lisa holds a degree in Fine Arts from Rice University. She works on identity, marketing and legal matters for Cuvée, fills in as need be, and serves as a Director of the company.
